HUX at Decorex Design Circles 2025

This October, we joined Decorex Design Circles 2025 – a series of inspiring roundtable discussions exploring creativity, craftsmanship, and the future of interior design. Hosted by OLISE Magazine and its Editor in Chief Bilen Zeremariam, the Design Circles brought together industry voices including Hamilford Design‘s founder Manuela Hamilford, AB Consulting‘s events director James Morgan, and our founder Felix Milns.

Why Craft Still Matters

In an age where everything moves fast, Felix Milns led a roundtable titled “Crafted to Last: Why Craftsmanship Still Matters.” The discussion focused on slowing down and valuing what’s made well — the kind of work that carries emotional weight, cultural value, and stands the test of time. We spoke about the shift away from mass-made products, and how design rooted in skill and care can shape more meaningful interiors.

Made Together: Designers & Makers

Felix also hosted a second session, “Made Together: When Designers and Makers Collaborate.” It opened up an honest conversation about how ideas come to life when the right people come together at the right time. We explored when makers should be brought into the process, how designers and workshops can learn each other’s language, and how to build trust without compromising creativity or quality.

Inspiration Around Every Corner

Alongside the Design Circles, we took the time to explore the show floor — discovering new materials, revisiting trusted suppliers, and connecting with talented designers and brands. These conversations and encounters are what make events like Decorex so inspiring, sparking fresh ideas and potential collaborations.

Looking Ahead

Decorex is not only about beautiful objects but also about the people and processes behind them. For us, it reinforced what we’ve always believed: the best interiors happen when craftsmanship and collaboration meet.

We headed home full of inspiration and looking forward to next year’s edition, where we’ll continue to share our love for craft, creativity, and meaningful design.
