HUX had the wonderful opportunity to work on this newly renovated Barnes cottage, where the back extension had been flooded with light to achieve a spacious family kitchen. As the owners loved original features, we created a fresh but timeless classic design reminiscent of a modern cottage kitchen. Glass fronted wall units with cross-sectioned timber beading sit with low level soft white matt lacquered shaker doors with inset cockbeading. An upholstered bench flowed across the space into floor to ceiling units, housing a traditional bespoke larder cabinet. This larder cupboard had an inset bespoke cutlery drawers, spice racks and carcasses in light oak. The kitchen also showcased a striking blue central island with ornate pedestal detailing and marble counter worktops.
