The starting point for this contemporary kitchen design was the idea of using two different tonal paints and double width units with Aventos lift-up hinges, ensuring plenty of storage space but still maintaining a minimal feel. The floating worktop adds depth and the satin smooth taupe spray-paint finish completes the elegant scheme. An L-shaped island in the centre of the space creates a clever ad hoc dining area, adds to the expansive feeling of space and wraps down to the floor in solid oak, stained to complement the floor.
Across from the kitchen, HUX designed the unique bar joinery within the dining space. The wall mounted units reflect a square panelled design with open cube display areas for the client’s ornaments and books. A solid-oak wine rack sits beneath, as well as hidden push latch cupboards that hide away cocktail gear. A sleek anodized bronze splashback completes the look.
