As this kitchen is located at lower ground floor level, a feeling of light and space was key to be able to provide our clients with a more open, inviting kitchen. The cabinetry, complete with discreet LED lighting, is painted in a fresh, energetic aqua-blue and white, and complemented by fashionable ice cream shades inspired by the client’s art collection. A modern take on a traditional shaker style, HUX introduced glass-fronted wall units to accentuate the feeling of space and finished these and the island cabinetry in a pastel shade of white to complement the seaside blue. Two features that complete the look are the waterfall effect stone worktop on the island and the fake chimney breast created to cleverly conceal the extractor and add a sense of occasion.

Designing with the client’s family in mind, HUX created a built-in dining space with further storage space concealed beneath a smart upholstered banquette. Within an alcove opposite the dining space sits custom-made cabinetry housing children’s books, toys and a TV.
