HUX at Decorex 2023
HUX proudly returned to Decorex 2023 for the third consecutive year, unveiling a meticulously curated stand that highlighted our innovative designs and modern British craftsmanship. Our stand presented three remarkable pieces: a sophisticated bespoke kitchen, an artful bar and geometric marble dining table, each narrating a story of inspiration, design journey, and refined craft.
A Bar of Wonders
Our bar unit invites intrigue at every glance, with its central stone surround forming a ‘Pandora’s box’ to artfully display treasured items. The Saint Denis Verde porcelain, fabricated by Tailor-made+, encapsulates the rare beauty of Italian, Persian, and Irish marble with snowy whites, fine greys and intense greens. The backdrop of our stand was brought to life by the incredible Atelier d’artiste wallpaper from Elitis.
The dark stained ash from Mundy Veneers brings warmth to the structure, where doors with a bevelled shaker frame conceal internally lit glass shelves. Adjustable glass shelves, easily removable porcelain tile shelves, and stylish Edgbaston pull handles from Armac Martin add sophisticated convenience. This lighting, provided by John Cullen Lighting, accentuates the detailed craftsmanship and textured elegance of the reeded glass.
‘It was fantastic to once again collaborate with HUX on their beautiful green marble cabinetry at Decorex, integrating our Contour linear strip and miniature downlights within the gorgeous materials used. We’re very excited for future plans collaborating and working together.’ – John Cullen Lighting
Innovative Kitchen Craftsmanship
HUX showcased a dark green kitchen that redefines luxury with its craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal. The worktops are bathed in the rich, polished elegance of Verde Tinos marble. Each finish was chosen to create a stunning visual effect, from the satin Huntsman Green surfaces to the inside’s dyed ash veneer.
The Dominic Schuster Moon Gold Vere Eglomise mirror adds an undeniable allure, beautifully capturing and reflecting the surrounding kitchen space. The door style—an innovative double bevelled micro-shaker, framing the cabinets with subtle grandeur.
Functionality champions alongside beauty, with accessories like the tall pull-out larder and the pull-out bin, designed for utmost convenience. The pantry cabinet features a bespoke drawer organiser and a sophisticated folding and pivoting pocket door system. Convenience is further personified in features such as useful shallow internal drawers strategically placed, high-level doors with push-to-open catches, and warm white integrated lighting that responds to a door sensor within the pantry.
Armac Martin Carlton Pull Handles infuse the space with a timeless allure.
‘We have been working with HUX for a number of years now and continue to be inspired by their unwavering commitment to crafting beautiful bespoke joinery. It was a pleasure to collaborate with HUX on their design for Decorex 2023 with our Carlton cabinet handles and Edgbaston pull handles in our Antique brass lacquered finish. The contemporary solid brass hardware provided the perfect accent for the dark green kitchen and bar cabinetry, which was perfectly complemented by classic marble worktops. The overall scheme exuded an inviting yet luxurious feel that was received exceptionally by designers.’ – Armac Martin
Geometric Dining Table
Our design journey began with an exquisite slab of Verde Tinos marble, its rich greens laying the foundation for the design palette. Contrasted with white Carrara from London Marble, the tabletop drew inspiration from the intricate artistry of parquet and tiled flooring. Through a unique technique, marbles were expertly arranged on a quartz slab and refined to perfection.
The table’s base, a monolithic structure with geometric precision, featured dark stained ash in a crown cut veneer, its edges tapered and chamfered, mirroring the elegance of the marbles it supported. Innovatively, a concealed timber structure within ensured balance, bearing the tabletop’s significant weight. Adding a touch of modern sophistication, Gallotti & Radice‘s contemporary chairs perfectly complement the dining table’s aesthetic.
